Onex Partners to Acquire Tes Global
On December 7th, Onex Partners agreed to acquire Tes Global, a leading education technology services provider, from Providence Equity Partners.
Tes provides a range of professional development and teacher training solutions. Additionally, Tes hosts a global marketplace of paid-for and free classroom resources and lesson plans for educators.
The acquisition arises from Onex’s attempt to acquire a larger share of the Edtech market.

The Carlyle Group acquired AutoForm
In late November, Global investment firm, Carlyle Group, agreed to acquire Autoform, a provider of engineering software.
AutoForm is setting the standards in end-to-end software solutions for the automotive industry.
The Carlyle Group is looking to support Autoform’s growth through their breadth of experience in scaling vertical software companies.
Volaris Group acquired Advanced Management Systems
Toronto-based Volaris group announced the acquisition of Advanced Management Systems (AMS).
AMS is a New Zealand-based provider of mission-critical software solutions for people management in healthcare settings and insurance providers.
AMS provides a fully integrated Human Resources, Personnel and Payroll solution to over half of New Zealand’s Health workforce

TPG Capital to acquire a minority stake in Nintex Group
In early October it was announced that TPG Capital will acquire a majority stake in workflow automation company, Nintex Group.
Nintex offers a powerful, easy-to-use, and complete platform in the digital process automation industry.
Founded in 2006, Nintex has more than 10,000 customers and generates more than $250 million in annual sales.
Firmament acquired COPA
On October 26th, The Firmament Group announced the acquisition of COPA and Controltec, Inc.
COPA, a provider of data management solutions for early childhood education programs and Controltec, provider of childcare subsidy management software, will be combined under the Controltec name.
The combination will allow The Firmament Group to create a leader in the publicly funded childcare sector.
